Trying New Things: My Adventures in Kink (and What Surprised Me)
TikTok video from 2022-03-03
Someone asked me recently: “Do you have an example of something new you do now that you never would have in the past?”
Oh gosh—there’s so much. I could write a whole series on this, honestly. But here’s a peek into how much my world has expanded.
Since stepping into ethical non-monogamy and kink, I’ve explored things I never would’ve imagined for myself years ago. Flogging? Yes. Fire play? Yep. Electric play? Absolutely—and I discovered I love it. There’s something about the anticipation, the sensation, the control and surrender—it lights me up.
One experience that really pushed me outside my comfort zone was trying out a dynamic with a service submissive. He wanted to clean my kitchen floors while I was dressed in a business suit and heels. The scene involved a light element of humiliation—but that’s not really my kink, so I kept it playful and mild. I said things like, “You’re not cleaning that very well,” but I couldn’t bring myself to do anything truly degrading. Still, he loved it. He had the time of his life—and it was fascinating to witness how deep that dynamic went for him.
Then there was water sports. That one completely blew my mind. I had always assumed it was rooted in humiliation or degradation, which didn’t appeal to me. But when I finally tried it? I laughed through the whole thing. It was absurd, unexpected, and way more fun than I ever thought it could be. It turned out to be more playful than taboo.
I’ve come to realize that the things I enjoy most are electric play and flogging. They speak to something primal in me—something that loves sensation, rhythm, and the balance of control and release. And none of this would’ve happened if I hadn’t been open to saying yes, to trying something new, even just once.
The best part? I’ve discovered so much about myself—not just what I like, but what I don’t, and how I want to feel in every interaction. It’s all been part of the journey. And it’s a journey I never imagined I’d take.
So yes. I do things now I never would have dreamed of in the past. And I’ve never felt more free.
