Chyron: My Comet, My Spiritual Partner
TikTok video from 2022-02-11
Chyron is someone incredibly special to me—though our relationship doesn’t look like most others in my life. He’s what I’d call my spiritual partner more than anything else. We don’t see each other often—honestly, it’s rare. But when we do connect, it’s like no time has passed. The bond is just there, solid and soulful, no matter how long it’s been.
He’s my comet partner. If you’re not familiar with that term, it refers to someone who orbits in and out of your life. You might go months—or even years—without seeing each other, but the connection remains strong, consistent, and deeply meaningful. Last year, I saw Chyron once. We went for a beautiful drive through a park and had lunch together. The year before that, I think it was just a quiet walk along the river here in town. Two meetups in two years, and yet the depth of our bond feels timeless.
We’ve only physically been together a few times, but from the very beginning, there was this unspoken understanding that what we share is real and enduring. We’re partnered, but also detached—not in a cold or distant way, but in a free, expansive, accepting way. There's no pressure to define or structure our relationship. It just is. And it’s beautiful.
Chyron has helped me learn a lot about love and connection—specifically, how intimacy doesn’t always require frequency, and how presence can be just as powerful even when it’s rare. He’s steady, soulful, and deeply grounding in a way I didn’t know I needed until I met him.
Being with him—when we are together—is like catching my breath after a long day. Quiet, calm, and meaningful.
Have you ever had a connection that defied time or distance? Someone who isn’t always in your life, but always in your heart? I’d love to hear about your version of a comet partner.
