Conversations, Coffee, and Connection: A Poly Wife on the Road
TikTok video from 2023-09-19
So here I am—completely stuck in traffic, staring at brake lights, sipping lukewarm coffee, and thinking…
Well, why not check in?
Honestly, it’s been a whirlwind lately. I’ve officially declared this season of my life the WHO tour (W-H-O: Wiser, Hornier, and Open-hearted), and babe—let me tell you—I’m thriving.
I’ve been bouncing from city to city, heart to heart, lover to lover, friend to friend, and feeling so full of life I swear it’s leaking out of my pores. I got to see Orion, who always grounds me in the sweetest way. And then… I got to see Bob.
Okay, pause. We need to talk about Bob.
Because the name? No. Absolutely not.
He is so much more than a “Bob.”
We need a better name for this man. Seriously.
He’s brilliant—like, cybersecurity-smart. He’s a total wizard when it comes to marketing. And don’t even get me started on how good he is with coffee (yes, that kind of coffee and the morning-after kind, thank you very much).
He deserves something elevated. Something mysterious and delicious. Not just “Bob.”
Anyway, we had the sweetest time. It wasn’t some over-planned, romantic gesture. Just a regular conversation on my birthday that turned into something unexpectedly deep and nourishing. No pressure. No performance. Just presence.
It’s the kind of connection that sneaks up on you and says,
“Oh hey—remember what it feels like to be really, really seen?”
So yeah. He’s on the list now.
The Really Great Guys to Date list.
Honestly? I couldn’t ask for better men in my orbit right now. Each one feels like a different flavor of yes.
After seeing Bob (ugh, I still hate typing that), I swung through Boston to catch up with Chiron and then visited my old business partner. We’re having dinner tonight, and I can already feel a little spark of something full-circle brewing there. Not romantic, just meaningful. Those long-term, soul-tie friendships that don’t always make headlines but hold you together underneath everything else? Yeah. That.
And then I’m headed back to Indiana.
Yes, again.
Because guess what?
We’re probably moving to Utah.
Utah! Can you believe it?
Which means more time with Fan With Benefits (yes, I still call him that), who continues to surprise me in the best ways. And Giggles, who, true to his name, makes everything feel lighter, sexier, and just plain fun.
Honestly, between these amazing men and the women in my life holding me through all of it, I feel so held. So lucky. So lit up. So… me.
Also, being in Utah gives me the perfect excuse to expand my Body Worship class, which I’m feeling so energized about right now. I have ideas. Big ones.
And I might make a whole other post about that because I’d love to hear your thoughts.
But for now, I’m here.
In my car.
Not moving an inch.
Letting traffic teach me the value of stillness.
And letting my life be this big, beautiful, sometimes chaotic love story—with myself at the center.
So if you’ve made it this far, thank you for riding along with me.
Literally and metaphorically.
